An amazing week 3-8 March 2009 - I went touring with the incredibly talented musicians of the London Gypsy Orchestra (by direction of violin maestro Gundula Gruen), we shared the folk spirit in traditional Nottinghamshire villiages, by invitation from Arts Council England...

The hospitality and reception was hearty, with a "full house" every night. Encountering everything from a picture of English farming history in South Leverton to an uncovering of footprints of the Knights Templar in Tealby, villiagers shared their community spirit and offered overwhelming support for our music and dance performances, taking influence from folk and classical music from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Transylvania, Arabia (Macedonia, Egypt) - infact all inspiration from the historical Gypsy trail.

History kept alive!
